Although Microsoft PhotoDraw was discontinued several years ago, I find that it is still an excellent program for creating and editing graphics. I still use it frequently, particularly for banners, logos, headers and titles. It has one of the best implementations, for creating stylized text. The special effects that are available are also quite useful. Almost all of the headers and links on this website were created with Microsoft PhotoDraw.
