HTML, which stands for HyperText Markup Language, is the building blocks for websites. I have used this page description language since 1998 to design many cool websites. In order to create dynamic sites, I have also used client-side scripting languages such as JavaScript, as well as server side scripting languages like Microsoft Visual Basic, VBScript and PHP. Although there are many programs that generate HTML code automatically, my preference is to write this code myself. Doing so results in “cleaner” code, which ultimately makes website maintenance much easier.
